About MDT Semiconductor

MDT, formally Micon Design Technology Corporation, is a Taiwanese semiconductor company. The company is widely known by its Chinese brand name Maikan. MDT was founded in 1996 to design low-cost microcontrollers. Reverse engineering of its earlier products reveals simple yet effective designs. Its headquarters is located in Taiwan. In 2011, MDT was acquired by Shenzhen YSPRING Technology. This acquisition brought the brand into the Chinese market. A full dump of the memory map is useful for debugging.

MDT specializes in 8-bit microcontrollers based on EPROM and flash technology. Its products are famous for low power consumption and strong noise immunity.
